Choosing the Right Senior Care Facility
Redefining Aging
Artist: Marco Santini
Medium: Mixed media
Installation Date: 2024
Artist Marco Santini collaborated with aging expert, Margo, to challenge perceptions of growing older. Through discussions with Margo's clients, words such as "authentic," "graceful," "insightful," "relevant," and "seasoned" emerged, offering a fresh perspective on the aging process.
By highlighting these positive attributes, the installation serves as a tool to shift the narrative surrounding aging, encouraging viewers to embrace a more nuanced understanding of this natural life journey. Margo and Marco hope this contributes to a larger conversation about challenging ageist stereotypes and cultivating a more appreciative view of the wisdom and experiences that come with age.
